Description: This wheat based scooping cat litter will become a favorite of both the feline and human companions in your home. Ground wheat kernels make an environmentally friendly alternative to clay litters. It is flushable, biodegradable, and helps to naturally control odor. Unscented.

Pros: natural, not really dusty
Cons: sticky, doesn't clump well, smelly

We tried this when we couldn't find any Worlds Best as it looked like the closest thing to it, but I was not impressed. It smells like a horse barn, which is better than some litters, but the odour was quite strong (which did however cover up the smells my cats made). The clumps were very sticky and didn't really stay together very well as they were so wet. I ruined a scoop and a litter box scraping out the sticky mess. However, its still better than using a clay based litter as it is much healthier.

Pros: natural, clumps very well, no smell
Cons: expensive

I have had excellent results with this litter. I have found that it clumps better than the clay brands, the clumps do not fall apart when the scoop is shaked, and they easily are removed from the bottom of the cat box in one piece rather than crubling apart. There is no ammonia stink from urine, it absorbs bad odors very well. Most of all, I like the fact that when my kitten cleans himself, he's not imbibing clay and chemicals, but harmless wheat dust. The scent of the product is a lttle strange, it smells like a cross between saw dust and wet hay, but I like it far better than the chemical perfume scent of other litters.

If you have several cats, you will probably need to fill the boxes with more litter, and clean them more often, because large amounts of liquid will overload the product, and make a sticky mess. It's also important to give the litter time to clump and dry before scooping, as the process isn't quite as immediate as with clay-based scooping litters. Use of a cat box liner may also help.
