The W.C. Redmon Model #7467 Pet Scale is a mechanical scale perfectly sized for cats and small dogs. It has a dual-pointer scale measuring from 0-22 lbs. and from 22-44 lbs. There is a zero-adjustment wheel ("tare" adjustment). The scale can be used with or without the tray. The accuracy of the weight is from plus/minus 4 oz. at 11 lbs. to plus/minus 8 oz. at 44 lbs. However, the deviation at the same weight from one reading to the next is only 2 oz. There is a five-year warranty. Construction: the tray is stainless steel, the body is enameled steel and plastic. Dimensions: Scale: 12.75 in. x 11.25 in.; Tray: 20.625 in. x 11 in.

For proper health and nutrition, it's important to know the weight of your pet. Weighing on a people scale is too inaccurate. I purchased this pet scale and have been quite pleased with it. For a "low-end" product, its construction is surprisingly good. Of course, I can't see the inner workings, but since the scale has a 5-yr. warranty, they're probably of equal quality to the exterior.
